All manufactured items should be acquired through the manufacturing process. FastBound tracks which items are manufactured, which will allow you to create your reports required by the ATF and IRS.

If you are manufacturing a new item from scratch, you would begin here.
If you are manufacturing from an existing item you would begin from the Existing Items menu.

To manufacture a new item you must have the required fields below.

Acquire Date is required and cannot be a future date.
-- This is the date the item was manufactured

Acquire Type is required and should be specific to manufacturing.
-- Manufacturing Acquire Types are separate from regular Acquire Types.

To start a New Item Manufacturing Acquisition

  • Click on Manufacture from the main menu
  • Then, click 'New Items'
  • On the Pending Manufacture of New Items list page, click the 'Create Manufacturing Acquisition' button
  • Enter the Acquire Date and the Manufacturing Acquire Type
    -- These are required to continue
  • PO Number, Invoice Number, and Note are all optional
  • Click 'Create Manufacturing Acquisition'

Upon clicking 'Create Manufacturing Acquisition', your Acquisition will be saved and added to the Pending Manufacture of New Items list page, your account owner contact will be selected, and the add Items panel will be available.
